Our kindergarten through 5th grade students learned about the traditional mola style of art. Each student chose a simple nature object that represented them, and then drew it on a rock. Once it was drawn on, the scholars used different techniques to draw the dots and lines, to represent the mola style.
Our PD was classroom-centered as in the PST: LA/LA training when we separated and discussed the differences between art-based learning. We have encouraged every other standard to be represented in an art form for one trimester. That trimester started, and we have enjoyed watching the excitement (nerves too!) of finding the right projects for each grade level. Our art teacher was thrilled with all the information I brought back from your PD.
Our school would like to thank you for your generosity. Not only did our scholars experience a new type of art, we have benefited from the funds more than you know.
